The next General Municipal Election* for the City of West Sacramento will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The Election Nomination Period is July 15, 2024 through August 9, 2024.

Offices to Be Filled

Three (3) offices are up for election on November 5, 2024:

• Mayor - The term of office is four (4) years, commencing with the certification of the election results by the City Council in December 2024. Voters of the entire city elect the candidate to the office of mayor.
• Council Members, District 1 and District 2 - The term of office is (4) years, with the certification of the election results by the City Council in December 2024. Council member elections are conducted by district with election of council members by voters of the district alone. (District Maps and District Lookup)
